Bradley - 4 Months

Big boy, you are FOUR months old! Hard to believe we are 1/3 of the way to ONE YEAR. I can't even begin to think about that!

You have the sweetest smile and laugh. It melts my heart every single time. You love "talking". After you wake to eat around 4 am some mornings, we lay you back down thinking you are asleep. Within a few minutes we hear the sweetest sounds. Hard to be mad at that! :) You have found your feet the past few weeks and you are really starting to love them!

You are taking 3 naps a day. One about 2-3 hours after you wake in the morning, another around 1 pm, and another between 4-5. Some days are better than others. You are still being swaddled. We tried to let you sleep and nap without it, but you did not like it. It is not worth all of us losing sleep right now! You are still waking once, sometimes twice, during the night. You are usually asleep for the night between 9-10 and wake anywhere between 1:30-4 to eat. You nurse every 3 hours during the day. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Still not consistent and that is ok.

Your stats at 4 months:
15 lbs 15 oz - 75% in weight
26 inches long - 90% in height
Head Circumference - 17 inches smart

We get to start baby oatmeal with you this week. I am not sure if we will keep with it, or just move on  to baby foods like we did with your sister. I have already made your first foods and froze them! This part is so much fun! I love making baby food!

Bradley,

We love you so much. Each day is new with you. Some days you want to be held all day, some days you are content anywhere. We cannot imagine this life without you. God has truly blessed us with you and we hope we will bless you. We pray daily that you will come to know Jesus and how much he loves you. We pray that you will grow up to be a strong christian young man and lead others to Jesus. We love watching you learn about this world that we call home. We hope and pray we will be the parents God wants us to be in order to lead you to Him. We love you to the moon and back little man!

Bradley - 3 Months

Bradley,

You are THREE months old!! You are very vocal! You love to hear yourself talk. You have started laughing a lot these days. You sleep in your pack n play in Mommy and Daddy's room. We tried to move you to your crib, but you are so loud you wake up your sister! You have slept through the night two times now! 8:30-6:30. Those two nights were amazing! You usually go down around 8:30 and wake anywhere between 2-4 to eat, then wake around 6:30. Sometimes you'll go back down until 8. Sometimes you are up for the day.

You are getting into a pretty good routine of 3 naps a day. You go down around 9 in the mornings for about an hour, then around 1. That nap lasts anywhere between 1 hour - 3 hours. Then you go down around 4:30 or 5 for almost an hour.

You have found your feet! You have started to grab things on your play mat and are fascinated that you can actually grab them. You LOVE your hands. You always have them in your mouth. You still like your paci and your thumb.

You are wearing mostly 6 month clothes. Size 2 diapers. You nurse all the time. I would say there is a pattern in it, but each day is different! We don't go to the dr again until 4 months so we are not sure how much you weigh.

Your smile melts my heart. We love you so much little man!

Melts my heart.

Back to the Dr...MG has a nasty cold and cough and Bradley got it. Went to check his ears, and we ended up coming home with a nebulizer and albuterol treatments. So far they have seemed to help tremendously.

While I was nursing Bradley, I heard the ice maker. I came in the kitchen and see this. She is one determined little girl.

Bradley's dedication at church was on Sunday, January 26th. Stan Tumlin prayed over us and they presented Bradley with a Children's Bible and a quilt. We are blessed to be a part of the Homewood family!

Bradley and sweet Lila Jane

The last week of January was interesting. We had a prediction for a "dusting" of snow on Tuesday, January 28th. It ended up being a pretty big mess in Birmingham. Roads were covered with ice and snow first, schools and businesses were all dismissed around the same time. Kids spent the night at school and people stayed at work. Win left work at 11:15, abandoned his car after 2 hours and only going a few miles. He got in the car with two strangers, and walked 8 miles. Finally after 6 hours, we saw him turn the corner to our house. His phone had been dead for 4 hours of this time so we had no idea where he was. We were thankful he was home and safe!

Although it created a mess in this city, it was absolutely beautiful!

Molly Grace is excited about spring and summer already!

Sweet moments

MG thought Bradley needed a hat!

Enjoying the beautiful days we have had after the snow!

Bring on February!
